“Its all about the View!” Townhome
Location: Brentwood Bay, BC
Scope of Work: Full design and management of a renovation of the upper floor of a town house.
Develop the design package to include permit drawings, floor plan, electrical plan, elevations and floor layout design plan
Source and specify all finishing materials
Collaborate with client’s preferred builder, his trade and engineering team; manage the integrity of the design
Challenges: The interior was outdated with obstructed views of Brentwood Bay. The client required an interior that would allow for “aging in place” and reflect her design uniqueness.
Solution: In collaboration with the contractor and engineers, we removed the interior wall and added an engineered beam. Now, upon entering the home, you are immediately met with the amazing view!
The floor was painstakingly leveled to accommodate the various heights of all finishing materials to provide a seamless transition between the interaction of the various flooring surfaces.
This main bathroom received an update with new finishes and fixtures. It also was a space we could really emphasis the clients love of colour and texture!
The client fell in love with the Aberdeen quartzstone from Cambria. Being the star of this space, we balanced the intensity of the stone with warm white cabinets, a deep mossy green vinyl wallpaper for the backsplash and matte black fixtures and hardware.
With a west coast view, this living place needed a west coast favorite…live edge fireplace mantle! There is nothing more amazing that walking into a warehouse and viewing slab upon slab till you see the one that catches your eye. Hand selecting the exact cut you desire to showcase its natural contours.
